What to know about your health, your body and getting to the Finca.
Your health
Safety comes first
These medicines are strong, and they do not suit everyone. Before we confirm your place, we review your health history and every medication and supplement you take.
Antidepressants such as SSRIs, many psychiatric drugs, some cold and allergy medicines, and herbs like St. John's Wort or kratom can react badly with ayahuasca and Satori. If you need to stop something, do it only with your doctor's guidance, and tell us early.
Talk to us first if you have
- Epilepsy or a history of seizures
- Schizophrenia, psychosis or bipolar disorder
- Serious heart disease, a pacemaker or arrhythmia
- Severe liver disease
- A past stroke, aneurysm or blood clot
- Dependence on alcohol, benzodiazepines or opioids
- A pregnancy, or you are breastfeeding
The weeks before
Eat clean. Look inward.
In the two weeks before, skip red meat, processed food, refined sugar and alcohol, and cut back on caffeine. Stop cannabis. Spend less time on screens and more time walking, writing and sleeping. Come with a loose intention, or none at all. The medicine rarely follows a plan.
What to pack
- Layers: days are warm, nights are cool
- Comfortable, loose clothes for ceremony
- Swimsuit, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen
- A journal
- Sleep mask, earplugs or headphones
- Cash in USD or MXN for extras

After
Give it a few days
Go easy on yourself when you get home. Rest, eat simply, spend time outside and hold off on big decisions. Share the experience only with people who can listen well.
We stay in touch after the retreat, and the group usually does too.
Getting here
Fly into Guadalajara
The Finca is about an hour east of Guadalajara International Airport (GDL), outside Tepatitlán de Morelos. Flights are not included.
Our pickup
A member of our staff meets you at the airport. $60 USD one way, $110 USD round trip. You get their name and photo before you fly.
By bus
Taxi to the Nueva Central Camionera, bus to Tepatitlán every 30 minutes, then a short taxi to the Finca. About two hours and under $30 USD.
By car
Search "Finca El Péndulo" on Google Maps. Toll road most of the way. Camino al Saucillo 861, Tepatitlán de Morelos, Jalisco.
