Finca El Péndulo

Our home in the highlands of Jalisco

The land

Four hectares of countryside about an hour from Guadalajara airport, with more than fifteen spaces built by hand since 2017. Horses in the fields, agave on the hills, and a lake that catches the sunset. Every MexiSol retreat in Mexico happens here.

Eight years in the making

Built by hand, one space at a time

Marina founded the Finca in 2017, starting with the stables and the old tower. Ceremonies began a year later, and people found their way here by word of mouth. The land has been under construction ever since, much of it with the help of volunteers from the community that lives here.

Marina founds Finca El Péndulo. The stables and the tower come first.

2019
The Osho Hut goes up. More than 1,000 ceremonies have been held in it since.

The spaces

Built for ceremony, and for the days in between

Seven places you will get to know during your week.

A facilitator serving guests seated inside the Osho Hut

01 / The Osho Hut

The spiritual heart of the Finca. A round stone house with a palm roof, where every ceremony happens with live music. It also hosts meditation, yoga, concerts and long dinners.

Yoga on the Oracle's stone circle, between its pillars

02 / The Oracle

Sixteen pillars of Jalisco onyx, each carved with a rune. Bring a question and choose a column. We also use it for outdoor yoga, meditation and closing dinners.

A smiling rider on a dark horse

03 / The horses

Nine horses, five of them born on the Finca. Trail rides into the hills, equine therapy, and lessons in how to care for them. No experience needed.

The palapa and outdoor tables beside Lake Avalón

04 / Lake Avalón

Koi, turtles and a palapa by the water. Loungers in the sun, a long table for dinners, and a trail around the shore for evening walks.

Wooden patio with tile roofs and tree-trunk pillars

05 / The Lord's Atrium

A 30-ton root with a meditating Jesus at its front, set in the centre of the atrium. Come here to meditate, to connect, and to feel the spirit of the Finca.

The long pool with cypress trees and brick buildings behind

06 / The pool

Kept at a comfortable temperature all year and wrapped in green. Made for the slow afternoons between ceremonies.

Ambu Terrace, a covered terrace with wooden pillars facing the agave fields

07 / Ambu Terrace

A wide covered terrace looking out over the agave fields, with room for up to 200 people. Where we gather for music, celebrations and pizza from the wood oven.

Also on the land

Temazcal, Sammasati, the Gaia greenhouse, an art studio, spa, gym, a rose garden and two rescued wolves.
