What to expect

Ayahuasca has a way of removing the stories you tell yourself. Some nights bring visions, some bring tears, some bring nothing but a long wait. All of them teach something.

The medicine

A brew of the ayahuasca vine and the chacruna leaf, used in ceremony across the Amazon for generations. Ours is prepared in Pucallpa.

It is demanding on the body. Purging is common and part of the process. A ceremony lasts most of the night. You choose a mattress, the lights go down, cups are served one by one, and after a while the songs begin. Servers bring water, tissues and a steady arm to the bathroom.

The third ceremony is with Satori, a sacred brew prepared in Mexico that works in a similar way.

Your shaman
